Al is hierdie platform hoofsaaklik in Engels, is dit nie my moedertaal nie – Afrikaans is waar my hart lê. Dis hoe ek dink, voel en stories vertel. Daarom skryf ek hier in Afrikaans, maar maak ek ook plek vir ander om saam te lees in Engels.

Taal dra nie net ons geskiedenis nie – dit is ons geskiedenis. Dis hoe ons sin maak van waar ons vandaan kom, en hoe ons dit met ander deel.

Hierdie afdeling is vir die stories wat ek oor die jare bymekaar gemaak het – stukke geskiedenis wat ek help herskryf sodat dit maklik verstaanbaar en duidelik is. Dalk help dit jou om jou eie pad terug te loop, of net om meer te verstaan van die mense en gebeure wat ons wêreld help vorm het.

While this platform is mostly in English, it’s not my first language and not how I think, feel, and tell stories best. That’s why I write in Afrikaans, but I’ve made it possible for others to read in English too.

Language is more than just how we communicate—it holds our history. It helps us make sense of where we come from and gives us a way to pass those stories on.

This section is where I share stories I’ve collected and restructured over time—small pieces of our past, told in a way that’s easy to follow and rooted in fact. Maybe it helps you trace back your own path, or just gives you a clearer sense of the people and events that helped shape the world around us.

It’s my small way of helping to keep those stories alive for the generations still to come.
